Dirty Kanza - The Event

5 Comments Hey folks, I'm back. As one might expect, I'm a little cooked mentally and physically. My emotions are a bit raw as well. I will be sharing thougths about the race all week. I'm still processing my thoughts so today I thought I'd share a little clip about the race.
Jim Cummins talks about enriching peoples lives in the short clip. To say my life has been enriched by the event is an understatement. Thank Jim and Joel for an awesome event.
Tomorrow I'll share thoughts on the race and my day. It is a very long photo intensive post.

Nice post. Great to hear from Jim and you. PLUS it was informative. It let me know I've be pronouncing your last name wrong for years! LOL! Look forward to your next post.

Cool vid. One question..."Jop your draw"? Perhaps 'drop your jaw? I had to listen to it several times. I talk like that AFTER big rides, but not before! Just funnin' ya. Congrats on a hard effort. You da' man.
PS: Looks/sounds windy. Do they have wind in Kansas? ;)

Thanks guys.
Grannygear - I heard that too but left it in. For my purposes I just didn't care. I'll chalk that up to stage fright! I like taking pictures but I don't like the glass pointed towards me!
Jason,
And I thought all along you said it that way on purpose. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed meeting and getting to know you and the rest of the Salsa Dirty Six. A great bunch of guys. I feel I made six new friends this weekend. Now THAT is life-enriching!!!

I'm glad we at least got the opportunity to ride together, Jason. Thanks for your friendship and support during the most challenging miles of the ride Saturday. You were just what I needed when the crap hit the fan.
... Apparently I wasn't the luckiest number seven though. For that I'm sorry. I don't really know what to say about it either... Even though I know I made the right decision, my heart still hurts.
