About this website

This site is a visual and verbal diary of my world. My world is filled with bikes, family and images. I like bikes and I like cameras. I like the way they go together. Joy for me comes when I can capture an image that shows the true feeling of riding. Images here are often experiments and explorations of color, tone and texture. A little exploration with two friends

I've said it before, but I have not been riding that much.   Last Friday was a wake up call in a number of ways.  Not only did I simply get crushed and bonk, I also got super excited again to ride & explore.   It was the first Friday this year that I got to ride most of the river bottoms and make my Breakfast Ride, Dirt to Work and the MN River trail on the way home.    My partners in crime for this were my trusty Fargo and Joe Meiser, two good friends.

I only took a handful of images, all while riding and all with my pocket Canon S90.    Here are a few I liked processed slightly different than I've done before.  I was just playing around having fun with presets in Lightroom 3.

A little exploration - Meiser showed me some new stuff!

The view from the front

My view for most of the ride....At the back!

It really got me fired up to ride and explore again.  Just what I needed.  I finished the day with 60+ miles of dirt, single track, sand, mud, gravel and pavement.   I bonked big time.   Thank goodness for tail winds and McDonalds Apple Pie & chocolate milk.

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend.  I did.   Fun time with family today and maybe a little bike work.  I'm prepping for something good.   Can't wait to share it.

I think just about anybody would bonk chasing down Meiser! Great pics, as usual. have a great week! I'm betting the pace is picking up for you.

GT - Thanks for the note. Great to read about your hike with family today. It sure is "picking up" as they say but I'm trying to focus on the good, my family and the fact that I have a job I like and appreciate.

Thanks again. Hope to see you soon.

Great images! I love how you capture motion, it makes me feel like I am back riding some of those fast MN trails. I look forward to reading what your "something good" is that you are preping for.
