About this website

This site is a visual and verbal diary of my world. My world is filled with bikes, family and images. I like bikes and I like cameras. I like the way they go together. Joy for me comes when I can capture an image that shows the true feeling of riding. Images here are often experiments and explorations of color, tone and texture. North Shore Beauty

I spent a few days on the MN's North Shore last week. I love going up there. It's a beautiful, rugged, and peaceful place. I always find solice in the wilderness up there. It really does have stunning beauty and wild life. Today I bring you just a few images. I've got thousands more, many of which I'd love to share. Unfortunately, they won't be shared here as this trip really was work. That said, I really have no trouble sharing the images of nature and a few portraits here on my blog. These images today are really why I ride. Without a bike & good friends, I personally would not get to see many of the places I get to go and shoot. Hope you enjoy.

I think this was my one last hurrah of Mukluk riding. It was needed and timely. MN's North Shore is truly amazing and there is no better way to see it than by bicycle.

Truly a beautiful place to ride. As much as I hate to see the snow vanish, I know that this will open up opportunities to
ride all those gravel forest roads the Superior National Forest has to offer. The prospect of that excites me.
Thanks for sharing your adventure :)

Thanks for sharing those. Jealous of the Mukluk riding, I'll say that much!

Glad you had a chance to get up to that area. The wife and I went camping there a long time ago and we still talk about it. Did you run into Eki or Charlie Farrow?

Thanks guys. Always means a lot to me when you guys comment and like the photos.

@GT - Your comment stood out to me. Next year, I will make sure you get a good dose of Mukluk action. Trust me. I am planning something......

@ari - We called Eki but given it was mid week and a bit unplanned, we were not able to hook up.

That looks so awesome! I love the shots of the crashing waves and that final shot is just perfect.

Thanks Gnat! I'd like nothing more than time spent hanging out with you, Mukluk or no. Appreciate the thoughts and look forward to whatever happens with the plans for next winter.
