About this website

This site is a visual and verbal diary of my world. My world is filled with bikes, family and images. I like bikes and I like cameras. I like the way they go together. Joy for me comes when I can capture an image that shows the true feeling of riding. Images here are often experiments and explorations of color, tone and texture. Photo Friday - Ride for light

You might think I'd be tired about writing, riding and sharing pictures about sunrise or sunset. I'm not. I don't think I will ever tire of the feeling I get when I pedal into a beautiful sunset or sunrise. A good sunrise or sunset can make any landscape stunning. It can make any day better. It can help ease any pain. Some folks say they ride bikes so they can eat whatever they want. That's true of me too. But, I am starting to think that I ride for light.

Have a great Friday folks. Hope you've had a good week. Mine has been the best in recent memory. I'm feeling good and I got to ride my bike quite a bit this week. I'm so looking forward to the weekend with my family.

Ride your bike! Take some pictures!

Love, love, love this shot! I've never had a better feeling than being warmed on a cool morning as I ride into a sunrise.

So true Gnat! The sun is so powerful in many ways. Some feel warm and fuzzy when it's gone, like my wife. She loves rainy gloomy days for some reason. Maybe just for sleeping I guess. Me, I feel gods power and greatness everytime i see an amazing sunrise or sunset. It amazes me how it changes the look of all my surroundings. THis picture you posted is really cool. The rider almost looks lonely which is just how many of us like to feel when we ride. You can almost see thought clouds coming out of his head. Thoughts about work, family, friends and maybe even crap we see happening around us......he's just clearing his mind.
Have a great weekend! Pam and I are heading up to your neck of the woods but with the arm in a brace and sling i won't be bringing the bike.

I recently read that a person's identity cannot be revealed unless it is acknowledged by others. Your love for the bike and the photo is obviously a part of your identity. Thanks for sharing with others.
